ACET: Friendlier than UPCAT?

CREDITS: http://www.apparelateneo.com/

61/67: this is the number of students in my batch (PSHS-ly speaking) who have decided to take a chance in the entrance exam of Ateneo de Manila University, one of the most prestigious colleges in the Philippines.
The test lasted for almost five draining hours (though it wasn’t equally frustrating as in the case of the UPCAT), and we managed to shade the annoying hollow circles, fill up our scratch sheets with logarithms and trig gibberish, and write our one-page essays with shaky penmanship despite feeling fatigued from last school week’s hectic activities.

Taking the ACET was fairly memorable. I met many of my ex-classmates, some of my long lost friends, and a few notably attractive people *haha* to boot. Our proctor was a bit freaky. I couldn’t really place whether he was strict or sarcastically nice, because he would get impatient when we were to slow in passing the answer sheets and test booklets but then he’d also start…”interacting” with us.

What went out in the test, you might ask? There wasn’t much science nor chemistry (much less Physics!) except in the General Information portion (25 items – I don’t think that would be a problem for any of you). The math part was a bit okay. If neither Trigonometry nor logarithms are the bane of your existence, you’re pretty much set.

Grammar Nazis will definitely love the English Proficiency test. (Oops. Did I say that in my UPCAT post too?) Identifying errors in the sentences was a bit tricky though…And there was a part where we had to identify which type of definition was given.

PS. The SM 3-Day Sale will end tomorrow, so if you still haven’t spent your stipends on marked off items, you’d better run off to SM now.
