I initially planned to go to my high school campus early in the morning but I snoozed my six o'clock alarm to eight-thirty. And now I am too lazy to get ready, so I've postponed my pursuits until after lunch.
Anyhow, it's become a habit of mine to check the Statistics tab in my blog every now and then. I've become quite obsessed, in a way. I'm just really thankful people actually get the urge to read my entries when they have the time. So, yes, a whopping thank you from the shallow crevices of my always-palpitating heart. As Regina puts it, my heart is warm and puffing.
These are my reasonably embarrassing all-time stats. Nothing to be proud of, really, but I would just like to point out the 344 clickers from the US. Hello, Americans who probably got lost around the Internet! Thank you for dropping by. Also, a big hi-ya to the mates from the UK and Australia! Bonjour to the French and Canadians, hallo to the Germans, halo to the Malaysians and Singaporeans, and hej to the Danish! An imaginary black hole must have pulled you into my blog.
Oh, and did you know that roaches pretend they are dead when it's daytime, they haven't found a good place to hide in and you practically run into them? They lie on their backs and just stay wherever they are. I happened to find one somewhere around the house this morning, which is utterly disgusting, and swept it out only to find it clinging unto the broomstick to crawl towards me. Girl instinct would be to freak out, throw the broom and retreat to the bedroom. It never fails.

Ya..I saw it happen twice. I'm an old OLD broad & lived in the slums. Seen more roaches than anyone ever should, but NEVER saw one play dead. About a ye ago someone said they have learned how to act dead. They never did that when I was young, so I sprayed one & threw it in the tub. I poked it. It was dead. I sprayed it again and left. That was a bathroom I never use so I forgot abt it. The next day I went to pick it up & flush it..but it was gone. That was weird but I'm on the opposite coast & killed another Roach. This time I watched it. Ant. 15min later it popped over & ran.
ReplyDeleteHere's what gets me..to my knowledge this is new behavior which indicates an ability to think, formulate a plan, test it, observe & remember then teach the others until ALL know & use this survival skill. This is a BUG! And it's THINKING. That means we missed an important evolutionary step,
