Art and My Slowly Disappearing Social Life

Apparently, I'm not exactly active as a blogger right now. My cousin just flew from America and we've (my sister and I) been giving her tours around Iloilo. Each tour proper lasts for around an hour, then we spend the rest of the day lazing around. Honestly, I love Iloilo for its demure commercialized cuteness and dominant suburb atmosphere, but there really isn't anything to see here aside from the churches. I'm not an uber fan girl of Catholicism (but still devoted somehow, despite the fact that I don't listen to homilies) so . . . Meh.

Still, I've been busy. Unbeknownst (yuck, so archaic) to many, I have a job. It's okay, I have room for skeptics. No, I don't whore myself around as per what I usually say to random people. I'm not tall enough to do that (HA-HA) so I settled for what my small stature can muster: I write essays about art and literature. Am I hip or what?

I'm really enjoying my summer so far. I don't get to do this while I'm studying because, let's face it, Chemistry is boring but considerably hard, and I don't think I can apply for another major in Literature. I'm making the most of what I can learn from this job. It's been really helpful, actually. I just don't know how yet. (Trollface)

Right now, I'm doing an essay on pop art. Here, feed on these:

Andy Warhol. To be honest, I'm not a fan of silkscreen duplication because it reminds me too much of those filtered Facebook photos that contaminated my feed back when my generation didn't know shiz about proper pictures.

Che Guevara. Remember his face? It's on every goddamn merchandise.
Richard Hamilton must be my favorite. His art is heavy with satire. My kind of . . . thing.
"Just what is it that makes today’s homes so different, so appealing?" 1956
"Interior" 1964-65
"Release" 1972. It's classic indie album art!
Roy Lichtenstein. You will recognize his art if you read DC Comics.

:Drowing Girl" 1963
Now excuse me while I wait for someone to hire me as an apprentice.
