Nevertheless, let us choose to ignore that.
Ever since the start of the academic year there has been a very noticeable downward spiral in the frequency of my blog updates. Ask me why and I will sack your face. Yes, of course, academic and extra-curricular obligations. They eat you up before you could eat your lunch. (On a totally unrelated note, if you see me eating meals in the dorm area alone, try not to think I am a friendless, soulless creature. I have friends, actually - lots of them, who just happened to live quite far away from me.)
So I am writing this very irrelevant blog post about myself and this day and I don't care if this is a subordinate clause because I deserve a chance to calm down. Today I have two competitions lined up (I'm not bragging. That would be juvenile) and I have already finished the first one (yes, the one I mentioned above), in which my performance was so horrible, I was compelled to run straight to the nearest mall and have a manicure. Now my nails are a tolerable shade of apple green. I am quite contented.
I dropped by the bookstore to wait for my nails to dry before I actually ruin them (I do that a lot) and alas, a copy of The Great Gatsby presented itself to me magically. Fer reals, man. Do you know what the best part is? The price tag said Php 99.00. I'm not joking. I practically died again because, hey, although the copy looks crappy, it's still a famous classic. You could expect at least a "1" or "2" on the hundredth's place.
BUT WAIT the best gets best-er -
- it was on sale.

I like wasting other people's time. Ha ha ha. I am so sorry. I promise I will sit through all pages of Fifty Shades of Grey for you reader(s), if you exist, and give you the most comprehensive and unbiased review ever.
After I finish four other books, that is.
Haha.. I think we have the same copy of The Great Gatsby, Mia... Mine is also P99.00 (bought it from Natio).. Anyway, HELLO!
ReplyDeleteDIBA, Natio is soooo cool. I also bought Perks for a friend and it cost me only 250 when it was supposed to be 299. Damn, so lucky.
