Sometimes I wonder why I love writing so much. Typical teenagers such as I, who live not more than a normal life away from any possible hint of popularity (*scoff* okay, maybe that is a bit overrated), usually prefer reading. But generally I shouldn’t be doing either of those at all unless I am the orthodox geek.
No. As a student among the “pool” of scholars who inhabit my school, I am obliged to defy the rules of the stereotypical. Even a classmate of mine once tweeted, “To me, there is no one popular in Pisay.” Pisay is my school’s nickname but I don’t want to linger around explaining its derivation. Point in case, studying in such an environment gives me the reassurance probably only my school provides. Putting the presence of a few snobby cliques aside, the social system is perfectly balanced. Geeks can be sportsmen (I refuse including the word jock in my entries), sportsmen can be rockers, and freaks (self included) can have as many friends as they want. There’s no apparent barrier at all. No one rules the cafeteria and no particular group pwnz the soccer field (most days it is completely deserted).
I’m not comparing my school to yours. I’m just saying... *grin*
